So as you might have noticed I’ve done some cleaning up around the site lately. Mostly just little formating things like making the counter for the comments on the comics display like what I’ve done for the SpiffyNews, show what type of comic is on the front page as well as the author. That being said, I’ve also made it to where Guy can go ahead and post comics to be shown at a future date (my little extra up here was my way of testing a few things like that lol).

But I’ve also made it where we can have guest strips if anyone out there wants to add their own pizzaz and spiffyness to our growing list of comics :D. To do so just click on the link on the sidebar “Post a Guest Strip!“ and follow the instructions.

Also done some things to the way the FaceBook app is updated … so if it’s not working right for you let me know … or just wait out my trials :P.

PS. I just opened up the site in IE (Internet Explorer) and saw that the tags (comic type + author) underneath the Title are messed up for those so unfortunate to be using IE as their main browser. I’ll have to see how to single out IE in my styling … Microsoft is teh sux!

So you guys might be wondering where the hell I am…or better yet….WHERE THE BLOODY HELL IS A COMIC. So by my records, I am 2-3 weeks late of comics. I have committed web comic sin. I didn’t even post anything saying where I was.   Wow, ok. You guys got me. I epically suck. I admit it.

Well, the reason I haven’t put up a comic is because i’m going to shut the comic down…..THUN THUN THUN!

No, just kidding.  That would probably destroy me…..AND HALF OF THE UNITED STATES! THUN THUN THUN!!!!!

Ok, so what am i going to do then? Hm….well, obviously I have been showing to you guys that my schedule is really hectic.  No comic= lost viewers=no monkey love. What I plan to do is change the date of updated comics to Saturday morning. This gives me time to do shit during the week….(like make a future for myself) without worrying about this stuff. Like Joshy boy says,” This is only for fun.”

So, with that said, a comic will be update tomorrow, or my name isn’t John Denver.

I’ve updated the validation or “spam protection” for the comments on the comics. So if you miss type in the security code or attempt to send in a comment in some other fashion you get a nice, little message that really amuses me . So I’m just trying to warn people before they are all surprised because they thought that the security code wasn’t doing anything (which it wasn’t, only because I hadn’t finished the code for it yet). I won’t post the message up here but if you REALLY want to see it, just leave the security code blank and see what you get … lol. 

I’m always working on the stuff here so just let me know if you want any more features to show up or if some need fixing (and yes I’m aware the rating bar looks shitty for Internet Explorer, it’s some bad CSS coding that I need to fix sometime soon).

So I’ve updated some of the backend code of the site. Which has caused a couple of issues that I wasn’t aware of until someone pokes the right part of the site. Let me know in the comments if you come to something that isn’t working right or you get some sort of error somewhere. I apologize for the problems, our host likes to play games with us and when I update things everything seems to hate me all of the sudden lol.

On another note I really appreciate Joe from JackOfAllBlades mentioning us on his comic site. It’s driven our traffic through the roof compared to where it was at normally.  The Project Wonderful ads aren’t that bad either

Seriously though, if you have any ideas on enhancing the look, feel, or workings of the site don’t be afraid the mention it. I can’t make it like what you want if I don’t know what that is .

So yeah to generate some revenue and hopefully a ton more hits on the site we have added a few ad-banners (in place of where the google ads where, and they got us like $11 in a year so fuck that). At least this way we can control what shows up here and post our own ads on other comic sites.So if you want to advertise here head over to ProjectWonderful.
